A new Xiaomi phone has been approved by TENAA and chance are it's the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi 6A. Just days ago we saw the Xiaomi Redmi 6 for the first time, sporting the model number M1804C3DE but it didn't come with a full specs sheet.
The new listing spans three model numbers - the M1804C3CT and the M1804C3DT/M1804C3DC with the only difference between them seemingly being the fact that the M1804C3CT has a single 8MP camera, while the M1804C3DT/M1804C3DC have dual cameras, possibly a 12MP+8MP combos.
The specs of the first phone - 5.45-inch 1440x720px 18:9 displays, Android 8.1 (likely with MIUI on top), 5MP selfie cameras and 3,000mAh batteries. All three measure 147.46×71.49×8.3mm and weigh 146g. The phone on the slate is only a hair’s width away from the midrange market. Under the hood, it sports a 2GHz octa-core chip, up to 3GB of RAM, and up to 32GB of internal storage.
The next phone on the slate is only a hair’s width away from the midrange market. Under the hood, it sports a 2GHz octa-core chip, up to 3GB of RAM, and up to 32GB of internal storage. Unlike the previous model, this one’s 12-megapixel rear camera takes it down by a meager notch. However, like the first model, it also does not have a fingerprint scanner.
Finally, the third phone sits comfortably well in the midrange sector. It carries a 2GHz octa-core chip, up to 4GB of RAM, and up to 64GB of internal storage. On the rear panel, it will sport dual rear cameras. Unlike the previous two, this model will have a fingerprint scanner.
Despite the substantial reveal, these phones are still unnamed. While their specs suggest the Redmi 6 series, Xiaomi has traditionally launched their Redmi phones at the tail end of the year. Case in point, the Redmi 5 phones were launched just last December. If these end up as the Redmi series, it’s a far cry from Xiaomi’s usual timeline.
